April 2017 Director’s Message

Dear Members,

Four beautiful years have passed since the day I had the honor of being hired for the position of Director at the Molalla Adult Community Center. I adore the memories that we’ve made, the love that has been shared, and the laughter we’ve created throughout this journey. And I thank you for the amazing impact that you have made on my life. You’ve enriched me at the core of who I am. I’m a better person because of the way you’ve trusted me, you’ve stretched me, and you’ve encouraged me. I’m so grateful, still, that I have this amazing opportunity to be a part of a story built on unity, transformation, relationships, provision, and beauty. As we begin our fourth year here, our vision is coming to fruition. We are reaching more people than ever before. Our membership is at an all-time high. We have more home delivered meal clients than we ever have in the past. We are finding new ways to assist and reach people in need. As I write this (with weeks yet to go) our Tax Aide program assisted more people this year than the last two years combined. These are the things we’ve prayed for; ways to reach those in need. Those record numbers can’t be met without a powerful army of volunteers, and for each and every one of them, we are forever grateful. Reflecting back on these four years has brought me so much joy. I thank you for the way you’ve supported our vision of helping those in need. I thank you for your membership, for your donations, for your volunteerism, and for your support. Our growing vision takes a might and united team and I’m so grateful you’re apart of it!
