December Director’s Message

Dear Members,,Director, Cecily RoseMerry December to you! I’ll admit it, being at the Center has made me one of those who starts thinking of Christmas long before December, even before Thanksgiving! (I know, most think this is wrong, and for my life prior to the Center, so did I!) I never wanted to rush through any holiday, they all have beauty of their own. But I think it began with experiencing my first Adult Center Holiday Bazaar. It’s held in mid November, but the Christmas spirit is alive and it’s contagious! Thus began my new tradition of wanting to listen to Christmas music earlier, starting my Christmas shopping earlier, decorating earlier, and getting in the Christmas spirit weeks before December even arrives. Needless to say, I’ve been ready for this month’s arrival! Bring on the festivities! We have them scheduled in many different days and ways this month. I’m looking forward to celebrating with you during our Fundraiser Dinner, “Christmas in the Country” December 6th! We also have parties, cookie decorating, singalongs, and card exchanges penciled in. I encourage us all to enjoy each others company as we celebrate this beautiful month and most importantly, may we take time to remember and share with others the true meaning of Christmas!
