December Director’s Message

Dear Members,

Merry December to you! We’re starting off this month grateful for a successful fundraiser season. As I write this, we are completing a wonderful month full of many different activities and fundraisers. We had our most successful Holiday Bazaar to date, profiting over $1,500 with MACC and MAS combined! We’ve been selling books, pies, and wreaths, and working hard to nourish the sustainability of our Center. We are so very grateful for all of the volunteers, Center members, and community members who step up to support each effort and event. We are blessed by all of you! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and are looking forward to your Christmas season. I love how the Center comes to life with the magic of Christmas each December. We understand the holidays can be difficult for some. Maybe you find yourself celebrating alone for the first time, or you seem over-whelmed with sadness after losing a loved one. It is our hope that the cheer that’s provided at the Center for Christmas is a celebration of your favorite memories and a time to make new ones among your friends and peers. We’ve packed our calendar this month with opportunities to celebrate Christmas in the ways you enjoy most. We’ve included cookie decorating, social gatherings, sing-a-longs, a visit from Santa, and outings sure to bring joy around the holiday season. We hope that you can join us during the Christmas festivities at the Center.
