February Director’s Message
2014 has begun with an abundance of activity. We held our first monthly fundraiser breakfast and are looking forward to holding this event here for future months and years to come. We were grateful for the outpour of community support and look forward to seeing this event grow in attendance. As always, an event at the Center is only possible with the help of many volunteers, and we greatly appreciated all of their assistance. If you didn’t make it this last month, we hope to see you in February.
Did you hear that on February 15th we’re holding the annual silent auction and that “Elvis” is going to be in the building? I have a new found love for Elvis since visiting Graceland last fall and am eager to have Mark Stevenz, an Elvis impersonator, here to entertain us for a fun night of dinner, music, and auction bidding! Thanks to MAS and Lola Burge for coordinating this wonderful event along with the Center staff!
It’s tax season time! And with the help of the AARP Foundation we are able to bring back a tax assistance program to Molalla. Jodi and Brittney attended training recently to bring you a service that has been missing from the Center for numerous years. I’m eager to see what the future holds for us and other ways we can grow our programs and services. Just a reminder, we will be closed Monday, February 17th in observance of President’s Day. I look forward to seeing you at the Center!
Kindly, Cecily Rose Director
