January 2019 Director’s Message!
Dear Members,
Happy New Year to you! I love this time of year as it resets so many parts of our Center’s future. We look at our mission, we align goals and programs to match, and we settle in to the ready, set, go mentality that a new year brings. While the Center runs on a fiscal year, the new Calendar year doesn’t get missed here. There’s something about the month of January that just begins a new start and quite honestly in the world we live in today, I find this so refreshing. Perhaps it’s that there’s an acceptance in leaving the bad behind and moving forward into the good. As I reflect back on 2018 there was mostly good, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t say there were a few things I’d love to leave in 2018 and not visit again. Its important to shed things that don’t work to leave the failures behind. Failures are still a positive thing, we’ve learned from them after all but they surely don’t have to define us. They can be left there, right in the place that they didn’t work. Let’s do this together, let’s look back and leave those things that are too heavy to carry in the new year and take a lighter load into 2019! This frees our hearts and minds and souls to an abundant endurance that will only bless the future and those that we’re surrounded by. We’re looking forward to the New Year with You!
Cecily,
Center Director
