March Director’s Message
Each month brings new excitement for the Center and more gratitude toward a community that continues to come together in support of our mission and programs. We wrapped up a phenomenal fundraiser in February where Elvis tribute artist, Mark Stevenz, was the hit of the night. This fundraiser was our most successful yet and we are beyond pleased with the exceptional support and results. I want to extend a special thank you to all of those who donated items for the auction, to Molalla Safeway who provided desserts, to the Key Club who assisted with set up and take down, to the Renaissance Public Academy who assisted with the auction, and to the Grace Lutheran Church who assisted with the serving and in the kitchen. We are forever grateful.
As we head into the Month of March we’re gearing up for the “March for Meals campaign.” This national campaign sponsored by the Meals on Wheels Association of America is designed to raise awareness of senior hunger while encouraging action throughout our community. I’m pleased to announce that Cutting Edge Fitness, Country Values Store, and Mayor Debbie Rogge have all committed to making a difference this month as we March for Meals! And there’s still time for others who may want to get involved. What an amazing community we live in!
See you at the Center, Cecily Rose
