November 2017 Director’s Message
Dear Members,
Thank you for your support of our recent and active fundraisers! We’ve just completed our annual sales of Mo’s Clam Chowder and we’re kicking off this month with the Willamette Valley Pie sales fundraiser, which is nothing short of delicious! Entertainment books are still available for purchase, and we’re gearing up for our annual Holiday Bazaar that falls on Saturday, November 18th this year! Fundraising is a necessity for the Center to sustain its programs and operations. We adore the encouragement you provide to us as we complete each one.
I love sharing great news with you and this month we’re excited to share that our grant project for “aiding the isolated” has been fully funded in the amount of $4,000 by the Clackamas County small grant’s committee. This project will assist us in providing the needed reassurance and welfare checks for our most vulnerable seniors in our area. It is always our mission to provide the best support possible to our recipients and this funding enables us to do this program to the best of our abilities.
November is always a month dear to us as we celebrate our Veteran’s on this great holiday! The Center will remain open on Friday the 10th (the recognized Holiday) for us to celebrate our local Veterans. It is our hope that you can join us for a wonderful celebration and a delicious meal to honor those who’ve made a great sacrifice for our freedoms!
See you at the Center,
Cecily Rose
