November Director’s Message
Wow! Do we know how to sell clam chowder or what? 142 quarts were sold netting the Center a profit of $568.00 towards our Roof project. Congrats to our top sellers; 1st place – Jodi, 2nd place – Dennis, and 3rd place – Shannon. These three worked extremely hard at obtaining fantastic results. As the chowder fundraiser came to an end the Entertainment Books (finally) arrived. Last year we had began selling them in August so it was new territory for me not to have them in until October, but regardless, they are here and we’re happy for that!
We’re having a Potluck this year for Veteran’s Day. All are welcome, but we’d love to know ahead of time if you’ll be celebrating with us and what you’ll be bringing. Also be sure to let us know if you’re a Veteran as we’d like to honor you on this special day.
Thanksgiving is around the corner as well. I’m so thankful for so many things that my heart seems to overflow with gratitude. I’m thankful for the opportunity I’ve been blessed with to be the Director here. I’m thankful to be a part of this amazing and beautiful community. I’m thankful for the love and care and kindness I’m witness to each day here at the Center. I’m thankful for those that visit, those that are members, those that are recipients and everyone in between. From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the entire team here at the Center, we are thankful for YOU! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks and blessings,
Cecily Rose
