September Director’s Message
Dear Members,
Fall is on it’s way and most likely due to this hot summer we’ve had, you, like the rest of us, are gladly welcoming it with open arms! While it’s been a hot one, we were grateful for the sunshine during our roof project. Have you seen the new roof? It sure is beautiful compared to the dilapidated one that was over our heads prior! While the aesthetic advantage is nice, the roof project serves as sustainability for our Center and the programs that take place here, and this is where the true beauty comes in! Thanks again to all who contributed and supported us in this project.
Inside this edition of our newsletter you’ll see a bit of our volunteer appreciation Luau. What an absolute joy it was to celebrate our amazing volunteers. We are forever grateful for the hours they serve, the love they provide and the servant’s hearts that they gift to the Center.
We’re welcoming back many of our classes this Fall! Look for painting, words of encouragement, computers and more to begin again as we dive into this month! Also gearing up at the Center is a busy fundraising season! We’re asking for your assistance in some of them. Check out the Walk-A-Thon taking place on September 26th (details inside), this will be a fun event for all and we hope you can join us! Also coming soon is our annual Entertainment Book sales – we will begin sales as soon as they arrive!
Thanks and Blessings
