July Director’s Message
Dear Members,
July 1st, 2014 kicks off the start to our fiscal year. This means a few things for the members and staff. The County has accepted our yearly proposal to carry our contract for another year! While this is usually not news worthy, for us, it is something to celebrate. With our unique relationship, we surely don’t want to take it for granted. This also means we have a completed and signed lease with the City of Molalla to maintain use of the current property, and this too, is something to celebrate. It takes many entities coming together to provide the programs and services we do. Sometimes the most vital ones don’t always make the headlines. We’d like to thank everyone at Clackamas County Social Services Division who help build our programs and services as well as the City of Molalla for their use of the building. So many times I’m blessed with the opportunity to witness the community coming together in unity to care for our Center and it’s recipients. It is something I will continually cherish, and I will always admire watching it take place.
We have so many things to look forward to this summer. We are privileged to live in a town that holds tradition near to their hearts. I’m eager to once again have the Center be a part of the Molalla 4th of July giant street parade. We also get the opportunity to uplift and highlight our amazing volunteers during the month of July. It’s the perfect time of year to get together and celebrate them and all they do to make the Center shine. We hope you can join us as we celebrate their greatness on July 30th for our Volunteer appreciation Hawaiian Luau. Make sure to wear your best Hawaiian attire! Mahalo Nui Loa!
See you at the Center! Cecily Rose
