June Director’s Message

As I write this I think of sunshine, garage sales, barbeques and everything else the summer season brings us and I anticipate its arrival.  It makes perfect sense to me that we are starting off June with a Rummage sale where all proceeds are going to the Center.  What a perfect fundraiser for this time of year.  Thanks to all of our amazing community members who have donated items and who are volunteering for this great event.  It is because of you a successful event will take place.   If you’re a Father, and happen to be reading this, I wish you a very happy Father’s Day!  This Month is for you!

When I vision the future of the Center it’s almost as if I get an overwhelming feeling of giddiness.  I believe passionately that the future of the Molalla Adult Community Center is brighter than I could put into words.  As I attend our lunches, community meetings, MAS meetings, and as I listen to members I am assured that there is more Love that is poured into this center than I can account for.  It is because of this Love that the center thrives and it will continue to do so.  I feel as though I have a responsibility to not only ensure the Center’s financial stability but also its success when it comes to events, services, and options for our seniors.  I encourage you to also take part in its future by communicating your ideas and your visions.  We are always open to ideas and suggestions.  We know there is always room for improvement and we welcome it with open arms!

There are numerous wonderful things planned for June.  I hope that you can participate in some of them this month and for future months to come.  Social interaction, education, being active, healthy nutrition, in addition to other things the Center offers is what keeps us young!  Do it for yourself, you deserve it!
