October 2019 Director’s Message
Dear Members,
Happy October to you! We love this month as it always seems a little jam-packed with exciting events, presentations, fun, and for me, my favorite season of Fall seems to settle in completely. For the Center, we’re not easing but diving into a new busy season, but all in all, we’re ready for it! We’re ready for cooler days that bring on Energy Assistance applications, as well as open enrollment discussions and presentations for Medicare recipients.
We’re also ready for the beautiful chaos of our busiest fundraising time of year! We hope you’re ready right along with us! October 1st kicks off our annual “Mo’s Clam Chowder” sales. Mo’s generously helps us in our efforts to raise dollars for the Center. We’ve begun selling vendor tables for November’s Holiday Bazaar which falls this year on November 16th. In addition to these annual fundraisers, we’d like to thank everyone who participated and donated towards our annual Walk A Thon! With your efforts we raised $1,435 for the Center. Our annual Halloween Costume Contest and party will take place the 31st at lunch so come prepared for games and prizes! There is so much activity this month at the Center between Holiday presentations, activities, and the daily norm that we hope you come down and join in on the fall festivities with us!
Fall Blessings,
Cecily,
Center Director
