October Director’s Message!
I do love fall! As we settle in to October the leaves have changed colors or are changing, and the air is chilling. I love fall because of the many memories of football games, sitting around the fire, and sipping hot apple cider. Make a memory this fall, by joining us on our outing to Bauman Farms, where the harvest fest is in full swing. Or put on that Halloween costume and join us for fun and trick or treating. We will hold a costume contest for prizes you won’t want to miss!
I’m delighted to say that after many hopes and prayers and plenty of patience from all, our team is expanding! We are gaining a client service representative to assist with the many needs and questions that our fabulous members and clients have. This young lady comes with great customer service experience and she is eager to learn. I think you will love her sweet disposition and her eagerness to serve. Stop by and meet Brittney if you get a moment. I know she’s looking forward to meeting each one of you.
As many of you have already heard, the county has reduced funding for nutrition program by about 20% for the 2013-14 fiscal year due to the Sequester. What this means for us is that Fundraising is more important now than ever! Here’s a few ways you can help: donate, volunteer to help with a fundraiser, complete your own fundraiser, share fundraising ideas, attend fundraisers, you name it! Together we can make up the difference and we can have a fantastic time while doing so! Join us for our next fundraiser, The Holiday Bazaar hosted by MAS Saturday, November 16th 9am-3pm.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Center!
Kindly,
Cecily Rose
