May Director’s Message

Dear Members,

I hope this finds you well! I first want to apologize for the newsletter arriving a few days later than normal, we’ve all been fighting the bug here at the Center, and it’s taken many of us away from the office to mend and get well. We’re through that and back at work, where we love to be! Upon completion of the grant writing workshop that was held here at the Center, Jodi and myself began putting those newly learned skills to use and have completed a grant for our Nutrition program, as well as a grant for the final cost toward our Roof Project. We’re looking forward to writing many future grants that when funded, will be a great blessing to the Center. The Roof Project is on sched-ule to be completed during the summer of 2015. We’re currently just $6,000 from our goal and we continue to raise funds as we await the answer on funding from the grantor foundation. We recently wrapped up our spring bazaar and plant sale where just over $600 was raised! Thanks to all who attended, donated, and par-ticipated in this great event! I never tire of the realization of how blessed with success this Center is because of your determination, care, generosity, and hard work!
